FARGO, ND–Enclave Companies, a development and construction company in Fargo, ND is expanding to the Twin Cities. Owners, Ben Meland and Austin Morris and various Shakopee city leaders gathered in Shakopee, MN to break ground on a new project, The DECO.
Situated downtown and next to the Minnesota River, the multi-family apartment building will provide residents a piece of their city’s history.
Lux Communities’ President, Donna Block took part in strategizing the design of the project. “The design was carefully thought out to incorporate Shakopee history, and I think it will bring in a new generation to the community,” Block says.
The DECO looks to create an experience unlike anything residents have seen before. This art-deco-inspired apartment complex is designed to replicate Shakopee’s history during the Prohibition era with its exquisite interiors and design.
With the style of the 1920’s in mind, The DECO will feature vintage finishes such as gold light fixtures, brick walls, art-deco wall coverings and more. Amenities will include a fitness room, pet spa, lobby, rooftop deck with a curling rink, clubroom, and a DIY craft room.
The project includes the construction and management of 89 units of luxury apartment homes and a leasable retail space. The building’s retail space is a perfect fit for entities such as restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and fitness studios. Its projected opening is Fall of 2020.
The DECO is being built by Enclave Construction and managed by Lux Communities.
